TAJIMA-JIAYUAN Ultra Compact Mobility -- Autonomous Driving Demonstration at Nishi Izu Matsuzaki-cho
TAJIMA MOTOR Corporation will participate in the Autonomous Driving Demonstration held by Shizuoka prefecture on November 25, 2019 through December 5th with Tajima's TAJIMA-JIAYUAN Ultra Compact Mobility equipped with autonomous driving technology. The experimental demonstration will verify the effectiveness of complementing public transport by dispersed allocation without relying on gas station infrastructure.
We will conduct autonomous driving which utilizes point group data gathered by public survey in continuation from the previous year. Using a small body vehicle only 1300mm wide we will verify the issues associated to the safe driving on extremely narrow roads. We will have local people test ride our vehicles to gauge the acceptance of autonomous driving technology.

On December 5th, we concluded the experimental autonomous driving demonstration conducted in Matsuzaki Town.
Total Travel distance: 624km (Autonomous operation distance: 350km)
Number of test riders: Approx. 120
We will
analyze the data acquired during the test for future development of society where everyone can enjoy freedom of mobility.
